About the role

Quality Inspector Shillito Group is recruiting for an experienced Quality Inspector to join a precision engineering environment. A great inspection role for someone who is confident working from engineering drawings, using a range of inspection equipment and ensuring components meet the required quality and customer specifications. The role You'll be responsible for: Using inspection equipment including micrometers, height gauges and calipers. Operating CMM equipment. Operating a Faro Portable Measuring Arm. Reading and interpreting engineering drawings. Working with GD&T and surface condition requirements. Inspecting a range of thread types. Carrying out First Off Inspection. Recording dimensions and completing inspection documentation. Carrying out equipment calibration. Supporting investigations into non-conformities, CAPA and customer complaints. Contributing to continuous improvement activity. Pay & shift Day shift £19.44 per hour for the first 12 months What we're looking for You'll need experience in a similar quality inspection role, ideally within an engineering or manufacturing environment. An engineering qualification or time served equivalent is essential, alongside the ability to work accurately, manage priorities and maintain high standards. Experience with CMM operation/programming and Faro Arm operation/programming would be an advantage. Knowledge of ISO 9001 is also required.
