About the role
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Site Fitter to join our fabrication installation team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various structures on-site, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to high standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in construction and installation and related trades to develop their skills within a dynamic environment.
Duties
* Install and fit for various architectural structural, including both steel and glass fabrications, according to project specifications and schematics.
* Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment safely and effectively.
* Perform welding, masonry, carpentry, plastering, fabrication, and construction painting tasks as required.
* Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure accurate installation.
* Assist with the fabrication of components on-site as needed.
* Conduct quality checks throughout the installation process to ensure compliance with safety standards and project requirements.
* Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency.
* Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines and resolve any on-site issues promptly.
Requirements
* Proven experience in related fabrication installation, along with welding skills.
* Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment used in site fitting roles.
* Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints accurately.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to construction sites.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Physical fitness to perform demanding tasks including lifting heavy materials and working at heights or in confined spaces.
* Relevant certifications or qualifications in construction trades are desirable but not essential.
* The successful candidate must hold a CSCS card due to the role being site based.
* A driving license as the role will offer a works vehicle.
* Additionally not essential although a plus is holding a IPAF and PASMA card.
