IT Consultant

Mid-Level IT Shared Services/GBS Consultant (German Speaking)

My client is a fast-growing, international consulting firm, who partner with clients to design and implement next generation operations. Due to continued growth, they are currently seeking a Mid-Level IT Shared Services/GBS Consultant to join their team.

This role requires German speaking.

This is a Full-Time, Permanent position. With opportunity for locations in the UK/Poland and India (Hybrid Working).

With a salary of:

• £40,000 - £70,000 per annum (UK)

Job Role:

You will be responsible for supporting the analysis of IT landscapes, contributing to operating model design, and play a key role in delivering IT and cross-functional transformation projects.

Essential Criteria:

• Experience in IT operations, IT service delivery, or enterprise systems environments.
• Proven experience in IT transformation and/or transition projects, including: Assessment and feasibility, Solution or operating model design and Implementation and migration.
• Strong project delivery experience, supporting workstreams within transformation programmes.
• Understanding of enterprise applications, integrations, and IT service management (ITSM).
• Experience with GBS or Shared Services models is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal - with the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage/prioritise a busy workload while adhering to strict deadlines.
• Ability to work as part of a team as well as on your own initiative.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support IT transformation and transition projects across the full lifecycle: assessment, design, and implementation.
• Contribute to IT service transitions, including application and process migration, knowledge transfer, and stabilisation.
• Support IT assessments across infrastructure, enterprise systems, and service delivery models.
• Map enterprise applications, integrations, and service processes.
• Support the design and implementation of IT operating models within GBS and Shared Services environments.
• Contribute to process standardisation and service optimisation initiatives.
• Support project governance, planning, and tracking across IT transformation initiatives.
• Manage deliverables, timelines, risks, and dependencies within assigned workstreams.
• Work with stakeholders across HR, Finance, Procurement, and IT teams.
• Support client workshops, communications, and alignment throughout transformation programmes.
• Contribute to transformation documentation, business analysis, and reporting.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and optimisation.
