Sous Chef - West Berkshire
£40,000 + Share of Tronc | 48 Hours | Wednesday-Sunday

An exciting opportunity for a passionate Sous Chef to join a quality countryside gastro pub near Newbury.
The business offers seasonal, British-focused food with international influences and is developing an exciting programme of private functions, weddings and events.

The Role

Working alongside the Head Chef, you will help lead the kitchen, deliver consistently high-quality food and support the development of menus and the wider kitchen team.

You'll be involved in:

Running the kitchen during service
Cooking and preparing seasonal dishes
Menu development and specials
Ordering, stock control and food safety
Training and developing junior chefs
Supporting events, functions and Sunday lunch

About You
We're looking for a confident, hands-on Sous Chef who:

Has previous Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous/Senior CDP experience
Is passionate about quality food
Has strong kitchen management and leadership skills
Works well under pressure and leads by example
Takes pride in maintaining high standards
