CONTINENTAL SHIFTS (DAYS & NIGHTS) : 3 x 12-hour shifts per week on a 4-week rotating basis
Our client is a carton manufacturer based in West Yorkshire, they are currently recruiting a Cut and Crease Operators to join their packaging manufacturing site working on Continental Shift Pattern.
They are currently looking for an experienced Cut & Crease Operator to operate and maintain Bobst Novacut 106-ER and Bobst Expertcut 106-PER machinery within their converting department. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality carton products safely, efficiently and to customer specifications while meeting productivity and quality targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate Bobst Novacut 106-ER and Bobst Expertcut 106-PER machines
Ensure production is completed in line with quality, safety, and productivity requirements
Carry out machine make-readies, changeovers, and adjustments to minimise downtime
Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality standards
Identify and report quality issues, machine faults, and production concerns promptly
Complete production documentation accurately and maintain records as required
Perform routine maintenance and housekeeping activities to ensure equipment reliability and a clean working environment
Work collaboratively with colleagues, Team Leaders, and support departments to achieve production targets
Adhere to all Health & Safety, Food Safety, Environmental, and Company policies and procedures
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute ideas to improve performanceRequirements:
Previous experience operating Bobst Novacut 106-ER, Bobst Expertcut 106-PER or similar cut & crease equipment
Experience within the carton board, packaging, print, or manufacturing industry
Strong understanding of quality standards and production processes
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good problem-solving and fault-finding skills
Flexible approach to work and willingness to work continental shifts
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products
Bobst machine-specific training or certification
Mechanical aptitude and experience carrying out basic machine maintenance
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement methodologiesOur client is looking for candidates who enjoy working as part of a close team, are passionate about what they do and who strive to make a difference
