Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7.30am - 4.00pm; Friday, 7.30am - 1.00pm

An established and highly respected engineering and manufacturing organisation based in Suffolk is seeking a skilled and reliable Fabricator/Welder to join its growing manufacturing team.
The business specialises in the design, fabrication, and production of high-quality power generating equipment for the industrial and marine sectors. The Role
As a Fabricator/Welder, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components to precise standards. Working from engineering drawings and technical specifications, you will use a range of workshop machinery and equipment to produce high-quality components and finished assemblies.
The role would suit an experienced Fabricator/Welder who takes pride in their workmanship, has strong attention to detail, and is comfortable working both independently and as part of a wider manufacturing team.
Key responsibilities will include:
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications
Conducting MIG/TIG welding and general metal fabrication to precise standards
Fabricating and assembling metal components for industrial equipment
Operating workshop machinery, including press brakes, guillotines, saws, drills, and associated equipment
Performing fitting, finishing, and quality checks on completed assemblies where required
Maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organised workshop
Working with Rockwool and other insulation materials
Taking a flexible approach and being willing to undertake tasks outside of typical Fabricator/Welder duties
Successfully passing a down-hand butt and fillet weld test using MIG
About You
The successful candidate is likely to have:
Proven experience in welding, fabrication, and sheet metal work
Experience with MIG/TIG welding and general metal fabrication
The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
Strong attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
A flexible and positive approach to supporting wider workshop requirements
The ability to meet the required welding standard through a down-hand butt and fillet weld test using MIG
