NDT Inspection Engineer
Location: Aberdeen

The ANDT Engineer is responsible for supporting the technical delivery of all ANDT techniques in accordance with company procedures.
Core Tasks & Responsilbities
- Responsible for the effective planning and organisation of ANDT inspection activities, ensuring all ANDT work scopes are delivered efficiently, competently, within budget and in accordance with company procedures
- Responsible for ensuring all ANDT & RRT personnel are suitability trained and competent
- Manage and support the ANDT site teams on a day-to-day basis and maintain appropriate and effective interfaces between Bilfinger and the client.
- Asssit in the preparation of Inspection proposals, ANDT CTR’s and CAPEX requirements
- Assist with the reviewing/updating of ANDT Technical procedures
- Assist with ANDT technical qualification trials
- Provide technical support to all projects and assist with client integrity challenges, or technical queries
- Conducts site visits (onshore and offshore) to supervise, audit and support onsite ANDT/NDT delivery
- Provide technical support with respect to the development, validation and implementation of new technology, techniques and procedures
Qualifications & Competencies
- Ten years experienced in the delivery of both conventional and advanced NDT methods covering in-service and newly fabricated products.
- ISO 9712 Level 2 UT, PA & TOFD Minimum
- Detailed knowledge of the common integrity challenges within the renewables and Oil and Gas sector.
- Detailed knowledge in the advantages and limitations of conventional and advanced NDT methods.
- HNC or higher qualification in an engineering subject
- Experienced in the organisation and supervision of inspection / NDT workscopes
- Professional, approachable, pro-active, and organised
- High level of personal authenticity, confidentiality, integrity, and transparency.
- Strong commercial awareness
