Tig Welder

Market 36 Recruitment are currently recruiting for a TIG Welder / Fabricator on behalf of our client based in Halstead on a Temporary to Permanent basis. Roles & Responsibilities * Perform TIG welding, including butt and fillet welds, on marine-grade aluminium and stainless steel. * Fabricate and assemble components to precise specifications using engineering drawings. * Manufacture, fit and weld components for a range of products. * Maintain high standards of quality, including self-inspection of finished work. * Utilise jigs and fixtures to support efficient and consistent manufacturing processes. * Contribute to the development of welding and fabrication processes for new products. Experience, Skills & Qualifications * Proven experience in TIG welding aluminium and stainless steel is essential. * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. * A solid employment history within a welding or fabrication environment. * Experience with MIG welding aluminium and stainless steel is desirable. * Awareness of and commitment to health and safety best practices. * Willingness and ability to obtain relevant welding coding and qualifications. * Reliable, self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team. * Flexible approach to working hours and a willingness to contribute to continuous improvement. Working Pattern & Benefits * Regular overtime available at enhanced rates of 1.5x standard pay. * Profit-related bonus scheme. * 25 days' holiday plus public holidays. * An additional 3 days' holiday for long service. * Early finish on Fridays. * Job security within an established business with a strong order book. Hours: 8am - 4:30pm - Mon- Fri. Salary: £15–£16 per hour, depending on the results of a practical welding test during the interview.
