Project Manager Location: Newcastle upon Tyne Salary: Competitive Type: Full-time, Permanent A long-established, market-leading precision engineering manufacturer is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its team. Supplying high-specification machined components into demanding sectors, the business requires a driven and commercially aware individual with a strong manufacturing and machine shop background. The Project Manager Opportunity The Project Manager will play a key role in managing customer relationships and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to specification. Working closely with internal teams and external suppliers, the role focuses on coordinating production, improving efficiencies and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities of the Project Manager * Lead, motivate and coordinate teams to achieve production and project targets. * Plan machine loading and workflow to maximise output and reduce downtime. * Manage project plans, schedules and status reporting. * Deliver against customer purchase orders while minimising risk and cost. * Work with engineering and suppliers to reduce cycle times and improve performance. * Manage variations, negotiate changes and support profitability improvements. * Maintain strong customer relationships and support ongoing communication. About You * Strong background in manufacturing, ideally within a machine shop environment. * Experienced Project Manager delivering projects to deadlines in a fast-paced engineering setting. * Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively at all levels. * Strong planning, organisational and problem-solving skills. * Results-driven, adaptable and able to manage competing priorities. Additional Information Engineering qualification preferred; ILM Level 3 desirable. Full UK driving licence required. Role subject to BPSS clearance.
