Junior / Assistant Project Manager – Fire Stopping Location: Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk Salary: £40,000 + Package Type: Permanent Start: October 2026 The Opportunity We are looking for an ambitious Junior / Assistant Project Manager to join an established construction business, supporting the delivery of a large-scale fire-stopping programme across live retail sites. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career into Project Management, with genuine long-term progression available. The role would suit an Assistant Project Manager, Junior PM, Site Manager or Assistant Site Manager who has some exposure to project management and wants to take the next step. Key Responsibilities Support the Project Manager with the delivery of fire-stopping works across multiple sites. Assist with programming, planning and sequencing of works. Coordinate subcontractors, site teams and suppliers. Monitor progress against programme and identify potential delays. Assist with project reporting, meetings and client communication. Coordinate site access, labour and materials. Assist with quality, health & safety and completion of works. Support with project documentation, snagging and close-out.What We're Looking For Previous UK commercial/non-residential construction experience. Experience as a Site Manager, Assistant Site Manager, Junior PM or Assistant PM. Some experience with construction programming – Asta, MS Project, P6, Excel or similar. Strong organisational and communication skills. Experience coordinating subcontractors and site teams. A genuine desire to learn, develop and progress into Project Management.Fire-stopping / passive fire protection experience is highly desirable, but candidates with strong commercial construction and programming experience will also be considered. Important Residential-only experience will not be considered. Experience within retail, commercial, industrial, refurbishment, remedial or other non-residential environments would be particularly relevant
