Health & Safety Lead
We are working with a manufacturer, based in Washington, that supplies to the aerospace, automotive and nuclear sectors. We are looking for someone to take the lead on health and safety and help them build and embed stronger systems across the site. You will join the team on a temporary to permanent basis with a starting salary of £32,000 as H
ealth & Safety Lead. Reporting into the operations team, you will lead the health and safety function day to day and support our quality systems. Hours of work would be
8.30am - 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am - 2.30pm Friday. Key responsibilities include:
Managing and maintaining health and safety risk assessments across the company
Leading health and safety initiatives and driving continuous improvement in our safety culture
Developing, implementing and embedding health and safety systems and procedures
Assisting with quality audits
Assisting with root cause analysis and corrective actions
Supporting compliance with the health and safety requirements applicable to our aerospace and nuclear contracts
Qualifications and Education Requirements NEBOSH qualification preferred; IOSH considered for the right candidate with the relevant experience and competency
Practical IOSH or NEBOSH experience is preferred
Audit experience against ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and AS9100 is desirable
