We're a small, close-knit team where your work genuinely matters, and your fingerprints stay on things.   Salary and Benefits £25,000–£30,000 salary  Monthly wellbeing bonus  Private Medical Insurance  2× Death in Service  25 days holiday + bank holidays, with a buy/sell scheme  Auto-enrolment pension scheme  Free onsite refreshments and snacks  Latest tech and tooling provided About the role   We're looking for a curious, motivated Junior Full Stack Developer to join our small development team and grow with us.   This is a backend-leaning role, you'll spend most of your time working on APIs, data, and server-side logic, but you'll get exposure across the full stack and the full development lifecycle. You don't need to have all the answers on day one. What matters is that you're eager to learn, take ownership of your work, and want to build real things that real clients use.   You'll work closely with a senior developer who will support your growth, while being trusted to take on increasing responsibility as your confidence builds.   What you’ll be doing Writing and maintaining backend code, APIs, databases, and server-side logic, under the guidance of a senior developer  Getting hands-on across the full stack, including frontend work where needed  Learning to work with cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure) to deploy and maintain applications  Supporting integrations between e-commerce platforms, accounting software, and inventory systems  Contributing to agile ceremonies, stand-ups, sprints, and incremental delivery  Troubleshooting bugs and supporting live systems  Actively using AI-assisted development tools (such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar) as a core part of your workflow, not as a shortcut, but as a force multiplier for quality and learning  Gradually building client-facing skills, with support, as you develop   What we’re looking for   Essential A foundational understanding of backend development concepts, whether from a degree, bootcamp, self-study, or early commercial experience  Some practical experience with server-side languages or frameworks (e.g. NodeJs, TypeScript, or similar)  Basic understanding of APIs and how data moves between systems  Familiarity with Git and version control  A genuine enthusiasm for writing good code and learning how to do it better  Comfortable working alongside AI development tools, with the curiosity to use them thoughtfully rather than blindly  Eagerness to take ownership, ask good questions, and grow quickly   Desirable Any exposure to frontend development (JavaScript, React, or similar)  Personal projects, open-source contributions, or a portfolio of work, however small  Awareness of cloud platforms (AWS or Azure)  Any experience, even indirect, with e-commerce or accounting systems    How You'll Operate   Delivery & Ownership Plan and prioritise your own workload to meet project and operational deadlines Take ownership of tasks at your level and communicate early if you're stuck Ensure your work meets quality, security, and compliance standards   Collaboration Work closely with the project team to align technical delivery with client milestones Communicate clearly and proactively, with colleagues and clients alike Contribute to a team culture where knowledge is shared openly   Growth Pursue continuous learning and bring new ideas and improvements to the table Support adoption of new tools and systems with clear guidance and documentation where needed Apply feedback constructively to raise the bar on your own output   Culture & Values Contribute positively to Outserve's team culture and wider initiatives Follow company policies and promote structured, compliant working practices   Interested?   If you're a developer who's happiest when you're close to the data, enjoy untangling integrations, and want to work somewhere your contributions are visible, we'd love to hear from you.   REF-(Apply online only)
