General Assistant / Second Man – Engineering | Glasgow Global Recruitment is working on behalf of our client in Glasgow, who are looking for a General Assistant / Second Man to join their busy engineering team specialising in sheet metal, light-gauge steel and general metalwork. 💷 £16.85 per hour – PAYE / Umbrella / CIS 📈 Genuine progression opportunities The Role You’ll be working alongside experienced workshop staff, supporting with: * Operating and assisting on saws * Building guttering * Assisting press brake operators * General sheet metal and workshop duties * Loading, moving and preparing materials * Learning and developing new engineering skills across the business What We’re Looking For You don’t need to be a fully skilled fabricator. We’re looking for someone who is: * Hands-on and practical * Reliable and hardworking * Keen to learn new skills * Comfortable working in a busy workshop environment * Ideally familiar with Amada, LAG brake presses or similar machinery, although training can be provided for the right person 🚀 Progression This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build a career in engineering and metalwork.
