With the power of many curious minds, together we can solve the world’s most complex challenges and deliver more impact together.About the RoleWe are looking for a CSA Senior Cost Consultant to join our Cost & Commercial Management team, supporting the commercial delivery of a major hyperscale data centre programme in the North East.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced commercial professional with strong post-contract cost management expertise to work on a high-profile, complex capital project. The role will focus on the first phase of data centre delivery and associated campus infrastructure, supporting the commercial management of key Civil, Structural and Architectural (CSA) work packages from procurement through to final account.You will work closely with the site-based commercial leadership team, general contractors, supply chain partners and the wider project team to help drive robust commercial outcomes across GMP procurement, FIDIC contract administration, change control, valuations, forecasting and final accounts.What You’ll Be DoingSupporting the Commercial Director in the commercial management of major CSA capital work packages from procurement to final accountSupporting, and where agreed leading, GMP development, negotiation and conversion to agreed package valuesPreparing and reviewing valuations, payment recommendations and change control with the wider site commercial teamContributing to cost reports, forecasts, CVRs and executive dashboardsSupporting the administration of FIDIC contracts and wider commercial governance processesReviewing tender analysis and recommendation reports prepared by the lead general contractorHelping manage commercial risks, opportunities and contingencyCollaborating with design, PMO, construction, procurement and commissioning teams as requiredSupporting, and where agreed leading, the commercial management of enabling works, civils, piling, structures, steel and architectural packagesSupporting, and where agreed leading, final accounts in conjunction with the lead general contractorWorking within established financial systems and budgets to track costs, variances and forecastsSupporting compliance with internal risk, governance and commercial assurance processesAnalysing commercial data and project documentation to identify key themes, trends and recommendationsProviding clear commercial advice to support project decision-makingSharing knowledge and contributing to service improvement and innovation within the wider cost management teamBuilding effective relationships with clients, contractors, consultants and internal stakeholdersSupporting and mentoring more junior colleagues on technical and project delivery matters where appropriateWhat We’re Looking ForWe are interested in hearing from people who can demonstrate:Experience in a cost and commercial management role on major capital projectsStrong post-contract experience, ideally including: GMP procurement and commercial negotiationFIDIC contract administrationChange managementValuations and payment processesForecasting and reportingFinal account settlementExperience managing or supporting CSA-related packagesAbility to analyse commercial information and provide practical recommendationsStrong stakeholder management skills, with experience working alongside contractors, consultants and clientsConfidence working in a site-based project environmentExperience supporting, coaching or mentoring more junior team membersA collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teamsQualificationsBachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in a relevant disciplineRelevant professional qualification or chartered statusCSCS cardWhy Arcadis?We can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best.
