Most senior mechanical engineer roles trade off scope against support. This one keeps both.This is a Senior Mechanical Engineer position with a building services and engineering practice based in London, with the project diversity that location suggests. The day-to-day mix runs HVAC system design, plant strategy, compliance work across Part L and Part F, and the coordination needed to make a mechanical scheme deliverable inside a multi-disciplinary team. Tools you would expect: Revit, Hevacomp or IES, AutoCAD, Bluebeam for coordination.You are chartered or close to it, with strong UK consultancy experience and the project-running judgement that comes with it. You can carry a scheme from concept through to delivery, manage clients and contractors without rescue, and develop the engineers around you.It is worth being clear about what the support side means in practice here. The coordination load is shared, the modelling resource exists, and the directors stay close enough to the work to unblock it quickly. What they do not do is hover. You get the scheme, the client and the space to run both, with help available when you ask for it rather than supervision whether you want it or not.Salary: £55,000 to £70,000 depending on experience.
