WMS Consultant

About the Role

We are recruiting an experienced Blue Yonder WMS Lead Consultant / JDA WMS Consultant for a business-critical warehouse management systems programme within a major retail and distribution environment.

This contract opportunity requires a hands-on Blue Yonder Warehouse Management specialist with strong functional and technical expertise across WMS configuration, implementation, integrations, enhancements and production support.

You will play a key role in a time-sensitive transition, working with business stakeholders, solution architects, developers and global delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities

* Configure, implement, enhance and support Blue Yonder WMS / JDA Warehouse Management solutions.

* Deliver functional and technical solutions across receiving, putaway, inventory, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping and cycle counting.

* Lead requirements gathering, process workshops, fit-gap analysis and solution design.

* Develop and optimise SQL, PL/SQL queries, stored procedures and database objects.

* Support WMS integrations with ERP, TMS, warehouse automation and third-party systems.

* Troubleshoot interfaces, batch jobs, production incidents and system performance.

* Support UAT, testing, deployment, upgrades and operational improvements.

* Produce functional specifications, technical documentation and process flows.

Essential Skills and Experience

* Mandatory hands-on Blue Yonder WMS / JDA WMS experience.

* Strong Blue Yonder Luminate WMS knowledge, configuration and implementation experience.

* Excellent SQL, PL/SQL and Oracle database skills.

* Unix/Linux environments and shell scripting experience.

* WMS integrations, APIs, ETL and interface troubleshooting.

* Strong understanding of warehouse operations and supply chain execution.

* Experience supporting enterprise WMS implementations and production environments.

* Confident client-facing communication and independent delivery capability.

Desirable Experience

Blue Yonder certification, Git, Agile/DevOps delivery and retail distribution experience would be advantageous.
