Job ID: 19812Salary: 70,000 - 80,000Location: BirminghamRegion: East Midlands, Midlands, West MidlandsWe are currently recruiting an experienced Quality Manager, to be responsible for leading and managing all quality assurance and quality control activities across construction projects, ensuring compliance with the Integrated Management System, client requirements, and relevant industry standards. The role supports the delivery of safe, compliant, and right-first-time construction outcomes while promoting a culture of continuous improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and maintain Project Quality Plans in line with company policies, ISO standards (ISO 9001), and client specificationsLead quality assurance and quality control activities across all phases of constructionEnsure compliance with contractual, statutory, and regulatory requirementsManage inspections, audits, and quality reviews; track and close out non-conformancesWork collaboratively with project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to embed quality standardsReview and approve Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, and quality documentationSupport defect prevention, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actionsPrepare quality reports, dashboards, and performance metrics for senior leadership and clientsSupport handover, commissioning, and final quality documentation (O&M manuals, as-builts)Promote a culture of continuous improvement and lessons learned across projectsHealth, Safety & EnvironmentActively support  Zero Harm cultureEnsure quality processes align with health, safety, and environmental requirementsChallenge unsafe or non-compliant practices and support corrective actionSkills & ExperienceProven experience in a Quality Management role within constructionStrong knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality management systemsExperience working on large, complex infrastructure or building projectsAbility to influence, challenge, and collaborate across multi-disciplinary teamsStrong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skillsConfident communicator with experience engaging clients and stakeholdersQualificationsDegree or equivalent qualification in Construction, Engineering, or a related disciplineLead Auditor qualification (ISO 9001) desirableMembership of a relevant professional body (e.g. CQI, CIOB) advantageousPersonal AttributesProactive and results-drivenHigh standards and integrityOrganised with strong time-management skillsCommitted to continuous improvement and professional development
