About the Role
Fintelligent is partnering with a leading international law firm to recruit a Real Estate Finance Associate into its London team.This is an excellent opportunity for a junior real estate finance lawyer to join a highly regarded and growing practice acting on complex domestic and cross-border financing transactions. The team advises a broad range of lenders and borrowers across the full spectrum of real estate asset classes, offering exposure to high-value, structured and development-led financings.The successful candidate will work closely with partners and senior lawyers on a varied and fast-moving workload, gaining significant responsibility and client exposure early in their career.
What You'll Do
Work on a broad range of real estate finance transactions, including:
Development finance
Investment and acquisition finance
Hotel and leisure finance
PRS (Private Rented Sector) financing
Student accommodation finance
Logistics and office sector financings
Islamic finance and mezzanine structures
Act for both lenders (including banks, debt funds and insurers) and borrowers (including investors, developers and property companies).
Draft, review and negotiate finance and security documentation.
Support partners and senior associates on complex, structured real estate finance deals.
Assist with cross-border and multi-jurisdictional financing transactions.
Manage workstreams and support transaction execution across multiple deals.
Contribute to client relationship management and business development activities.
Work collaboratively within a high-performing and supportive team environment.
What We're Looking For
1+ year PQE gained in a real estate finance or broader banking/finance practice.
Strong academic record.
Solid understanding of general finance principles and transaction structures.
Experience working on real estate finance transactions is essential.
Strong drafting and document negotiation skills.
Proactive, detail-oriented and commercially minded approach.
Strong communication and client relationship skills.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to support colleagues.
Ambition to develop within a high-performing transactional finance practice.
