About the role

To assist the Asset Manager (Housing) in delivering high-quality, efficient contract and project management from design to completion, ensuring compliance with all legislative requirements.   To assist in the development, administration and contract delivery of the Council’s Capital and Revenue Planned Maintenance Programme. • To act as the departments representative, to protect the customers interests and to ensure achievement of good quality work in liaison with other departments, sections, consultants and contractors. • To protect the Councils Capital and Revenue budgets by actively controlling expenditure and ensuring that all projects offer the Council value for money. • To promote positive behaviours in the workplace and promote safe working within Housing & Property Services.   Sound building technology knowledge and experience • House condition survey experience • Computer literacy, use of a range of databases and spreadsheets • Demonstrable experience working in a Housing Asset, Repairs and Maintenance role or equivalent • Ability to manage complex situations / projects and find appropriate solutions • Full driving licence and use of car for work purposes • AutoCAD Computer Aided Drafting skills • Ability to monitor and negotiate with contractors and consultants • Ability to climb stairs, ladders and scaffolding   21.25 per hour For further information please contact Tracey McKie, Housing Asset Manager on 01343 563352.
