MEP Design Manager

Our client is world leading construction and engineering company who are looking for a MEP Design Manager to join their team in London. Projects are based in London and the Southeast and cover various sectors including Healthcare, Residential Regeneration, Schools and Data Centres. In this position you will support the Senior Technical Managers & Design Managers to help them deliver design & technical information on a bid or project; from prequalification to completion (generally, but not limited to, the RIBA Plan of Work Stages 3 to 6/BSRIA BG6 Stages 3-7). Responsibilities: • Build/ lead effective relationships with MEP Consultants, BIM Coordinators and CDP Specialists to maximise value/opportunity and mitigate risk • Undertake technical reviews of designs ensuring best value compliant designs are produced • Approve plant and equipment selections/ CDP sub-contractor selection & designs • Develop value engineering and value management proposals • Provide troubleshooting support to significant technical and commissioning issues Requirements: • Experience within the design department of MEP Consultancy or Main / MEP Contractor • Principles of the RIBA Plan of Work/BSRIA BG6 • Experience covering knowledge of MEP materials, systems, methods and technology There is a great package on top of your salary which includes car allowance, private medical care, 26 days holiday (rises to 28 after 2 years, then 30 after 5 years), 8% pension contribution and a share scheme!
