Customer Service and Sales Advisor (Trade Storage)

Are you a confident, customer-focused individual who enjoys a varied role combining customer service, sales and hands-on operational duties? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Customer Sales & FLT Advisor to join a successful and established business. Working as part of a small team, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, maximising sales opportunities and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the site. This is a varied role, so we're looking for someone who is equally comfortable speaking with customers, handling administration and getting involved with practical, hands-on duties, including forklift operation. Key Responsibilities Deal with customer enquiries both face-to-face and over the telephone Understand customer requirements and provide appropriate advice on products and services Identify and maximise sales opportunities to achieve individual and business targets Build strong relationships with new and existing customers Complete administration accurately and in line with company procedures Operate a forklift as required Carry out regular checks of the site and ensure standards are maintained Maintain a clean, tidy and professional working environment Follow all Health & Safety procedures and company policies Support with customer accounts and outstanding payments where required Work independently when required, including lone working Take responsibility for the site when required in the absence of management Assist with general operational and ad hoc duties About YouWe're looking for someone who is: Confident and professional when dealing with customers A strong communicator with excellent listening skills Comfortable working towards sales targets Commercially aware with a proactive approach Organised and attentive to detail Happy working in a small team environment Comfortable working independently and using their own initiative Practical and willing to get involved with the operational side of the role Reliable and confident following procedures Happy to work a 40hr week and weekends Ideally with a valid FLT licence but this can be trained Previous experience in a customer-facing, sales, trade counter, branch, warehouse or operational environment would be advantageous. This role would suit someone looking to combine their customer service and sales skills with a practical, hands-on working environment.
