You will be solutions-driven, adaptable, and confident working in a fast-paced environment where quality, performance and customer requirements are key.Required skills and experience:Vocational qualification in a mechanical or electrical engineering discipline is desirableHands-on experience in automotive, mechanical, electrical, mechatronic or similar industry-relevant environment is consideredGreat team working ethic with the ability to drive tasks in a collaborative mannerCustomer-focused, delivering an exceptional serviceStrong communication skills, both written and verbalMicrosoft 365 experience with an understanding of eye for detail and complianceSelf-driven and able to be innovated and solution orientatedABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY As a Propulsion Test Technician, you will be directly involved in preparing test hardware, setting up and operating engine test facilities, monitoring test activity, and supporting troubleshooting and maintenance activities. Working alongside experienced engineers and technicians, you will play a key role in delivering customer testing programmes while contributing to the safe, efficient operation of the facility. Key activities:Conduct tests on propulsion systems using laboratory-based facilitiesAssist in developing test plans to simulate real-world conditions for various industries (Automotive, Motorsport, Aerospace, Commercial)Support project setup activities, engaging all key stakeholders in the standard Intertek processMonitor and record test data, ensuring it meets quality and performance standardsPrepare comprehensive test reports, presenting findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including management and clientsAssist in troubleshooting any technical issues that arise during testing, introducing solutions to prevent recurrenceWHAT WE OFFERJoin Intertek and become part of our global network of inspiring and entrepreneurial colleagues.
