Legal Counsel - Regulatory - 12 month FTC
About the role
A leading financial institution is seeking a Legal Counsel to join its Retail & Private Banking legal team on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract. This role will focus on secured lending, mortgages and consumer financial services, providing strategic legal and regulatory support to business stakeholders across a broad range of bespoke products.
The successful candidate will be working closely with the business in a highly regarded team where you will be advising on secured lending, mortgage products and wider consumer banking matters. You will also be involved in innovative projects involving AI as well as assisting with other innovative projects across the bank relating to M&A and Securitisation transactions. This is an ideal role for someone looking to move into a broad role and join a team at an exciting phase of growth and innovation.
About you:
- UK qualified lawyer with 5+ years' PQE experience gained in banking, financial services regulation or consumer finance
- Understanding of the retail banking and consumer finance landscape is advantageous and MCOB experience would be ideal.
- Experience supporting regulatory change and business transformation initiatives
