CNC Turner - Setter/Operator

MTrecs new career opportunity Our client are specialists in their industry sector, they are looking to recruit a Multiskilled CNC Turner on a permanent basis.

Please note this position will be working a permanent backshift, the hours of work are 14:30-00:30 Monday to Thursday.

The Job youll do CNC Turner Setter/Operator, to set and operate Victor CNC Machines with Fanuc control systems.

The ideal candidate will possess a versatile skill set encompassing CNC machining, mechanical knowledge, and hands on experience with various tools and processes.

The successful applicant will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines, ensuring precision and efficiency in production.

Set up and operate Victor CNC lathes.

Hand Deburr and fettle detailed components.

Quality checking own work.

Troubleshoot and make adjustments to offset coordinates.

Read and understand technical engineering drawings.

Be able to read understand CNC programmes, using machine interface Using our manufacturing system to be able to check material availability, part requirements, part routings and issue.

Operate within a 5s manufacturing cell environment CNC turning machines with precision, adhering to technical specifications and safety standards.

Maintain machine calibration and perform basic troubleshooting to minimise downtime.

Keep the work area clean, organised, and compliant with health & safety regulations.

About You Engineering apprenticeship/City and guilds / NVQ's / National tech certificate engineering.

Proven thorough experience in CNC machine tools turning.

Must be able to setup and operate CNC Turning and mill machines.

Mechanical knowledge of tooling, fixtures, and machine maintenance.

Knowledge of Fanuc controls.

Ability to read technical drawings and interpret specifications accurately Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in a fast paced environment Minimum of 3 years in a similar role.

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
