Office Based: Commutable to Hertfordshire

Remuneration: £55,000 - £60,000neg + Discretionary bonus scheme

The role of the Procurement Manager – Woodwork & Cutting Tools will involve:

• Procurement Manager position dealing with a manufactured range of woodwork & cutting tools including; router cutters, routing jigs and router accessories
• Focus on optimising procurement processes, ensuring accurate stock levels, and integrating purchasing functions to improve inventory control and supplier management
• Develop and implement new procurement strategies to improve cost efficiencies, supplier performance and continuity of supply
• Collaborate with IT, warehouse, finance and other internal departments to ensure seamless integration of new system
• Define system requirements and work closely with vendor and developers to customise system as required
• Monitor and manage supplier performance and order processes, ensuring compliance and timely delivery
• Oversee purchase order completion, approval workflows, and stock replenishment

The ideal applicant will be a Procurement Manager – Woodwork & Cutting Tools with:

• Must have Procurement or Buying experience within the construction, tools, or manufacturing sector
• Highly advantageous to have experience within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCGs) sector
• Beneficial to have a related degree (Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics etc.)
• Previous experience managing procurement teams is ideal
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Strong negotiation skills, commercial awareness and decision making capability
