Estimator (High End Residential)

The Opportunity An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a skilled and ambitious Estimator to join a highly respected construction business, renowned for delivering exquisite high end residential refurbishment projects across the most exclusive areas of London. Based primarily out of their prestigious Chelsea office, you will be instrumental in the pre-construction phase of schemes with project values often reaching several million pounds. This role offers a unique chance to shape the commercial success of some of London's most sought-after residential properties. Key Responsibilities As the Estimator, you will take ownership of the critical financial planning for our projects, with the scope to broaden your expertise into full commercial management. Your duties will include: * Preparing highly detailed, accurate cost estimates and tender proposals for complex high-end residential refurbishments. * Managing the full tendering process, from initial enquiry through to final submission. * Leading procurement and managing subcontractor package analysis. * Budget management and providing accurate, timely financial reporting to senior management. * Working closely with design teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure commercial viability and successful project delivery. * Crucially, this role offers a varied workload with a blend of estimating and post-contract duties, including contract administration and commercial management. What We're Looking For We are seeking a commercially astute professional with a proven track record. The ideal candidate will have: * Significant experience as an Estimator or Quantity Surveyor working specifically on high end residential or complex refurbishment projects in the UK. * Exceptional commercial awareness and a meticulous attention to detail. * The ability to work autonomously, manage multiple tender programs concurrently, and meet strict deadlines. * Outstanding communication skills and a professional demeanor essential for managing client relationships and stakeholder expectations. This position is perfect for: * An experienced Estimator looking to expand their remit into full project lifecycle management (pre- and post-contract). * A Quantity Surveyor who thrives on the challenge of detailed estimating while still maintaining involvement in live commercial management.
