Electrical Design Engineer (EPLAN) | Hybrid Working | £45,000 - £60,000 Location: Grimsby or Runcorn (Your Choice) Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 + Benefits Working Pattern: Hybrid – Only 2 Days Per Week in the Office Are you an Electrical Design Engineer looking for a role that offers genuine flexibility alongside technically challenging projects? We're working with a growing engineering business that is looking to strengthen its design team with the addition of an experienced Electrical Design Engineer. This role offers the flexibility to be based from either the Grimsby or Runcorn office, with only 2 days per week required on site and the remainder working from home. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong EPLAN experience who wants to work on a variety of bespoke industrial and automation projects while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. The Role As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and development of electrical control systems and associated documentation from concept through to project delivery. Key Responsibilities • Produce electrical schematics and drawings using EPLAN Electric P8 • Design control panels and electrical systems for industrial applications • Generate cable schedules, terminal plans, bills of materials and technical documentation • Ensure designs comply with relevant electrical standards and regulations • Work closely with project managers, controls engineers and manufacturing teams • Provide technical support throughout manufacturing, installation and commissioning phases • Assist with continuous improvement of design processes and standards Requirements • Previous experience as an Electrical Design Engineer • Strong proficiency with EPLAN Electric P8 • Experience designing industrial control systems and electrical panels • Good understanding of electrical standards and regulations • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a project environment What's on Offer? • Salary between £45,000 - £60,000 depending on experience • Hybrid working – only 2 days per week in the office • Choice of working from either Grimsby or Runcorn • Interesting and varied engineering projects • Strong work-life balance • Career development opportunities within a growing business If you're an Electrical Design Engineer with EPLAN experience looking for a flexible hybrid role where you can make a real impact, we'd love to hear from you
