Pay: £16.00 per hour (£26,832 per annum)
Shift: 8am–6pm
Working Pattern: 4 days per week

About the Role

We are recruiting a dedicated and experienced Care Home Chef to join a welcoming 30-bed residential care home in the beautiful Totnes area of Devon.

The home provides a comfortable and welcoming environment for residents, with a strong focus on dignity, wellbeing and quality of life.

As a Care Home Chef, you will play a vital role in preparing nutritious, appetising and well-presented meals for residents, ensuring that all dietary, nutritional and food safety requirements are met.

Working 40 hours per week across 4 days, with shifts from 8am–6pm, you will be responsible for planning and preparing meals, catering for individual dietary requirements and maintaining high standards of food hygiene and safety.

A good understanding and practical knowledge of IDDSI (International Dysphagia Diet Standardisation Initiative) is essential, along with a strong understanding of SFBB (Safer Food, Better Business) procedures.
