Overview
We are currently recruiting for an ambitious Residential Development Associate Solicitor to join a highly regarded Residential Development team in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity to work with some of the UK's leading national and regional housebuilders, developers and landowners on a broad range of high-profile residential development matters. The successful candidate will join a collaborative and well-established team offering excellent career development, high-quality work and the opportunity to build long-term expertise within residential development and land acquisition. This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the UK's leading Residential Development teams. You will work on high-value, complex transactions for major housebuilders and developers while receiving excellent mentoring, ongoing training and genuine opportunities for career progression within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Advising on complex and large-scale land acquisitions across England and Wales
- Drafting and negotiating development agreements, option agreements and conditional contracts
- Advising on collaboration agreements and joint ventures between developers
- Managing disposals of serviced land parcels
- Supporting strategic land acquisitions and urban regeneration projects
- Advising on funding arrangements relating to development sites
- Working closely with planning, construction and litigation specialists to deliver a full service to clients
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients while delivering commercially focused legal advice
Qualifications
- Qualified Solicitor with 3-5 years' post-qualification experience
- Experience in commercial property or residential development matters
- Previous experience acting for housebuilders or developers would be advantageous but is not essential
- Strong technical knowledge of land acquisition and development transactions
- Excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills
- Commercial awareness with a proactive and client-focused approach
- A genuine interest in developing a long-term career within residential development
