HGV Driver class 1

Diamond Corrugated is a successful locally owned manufacturer of corrugated packaging with over 50 years in business.

Following investment in recent years we are considered one of the most advanced manufacturers in our sector in the UK and Ireland. We pride ourselves in customer service, product and technical capability.

We are now seeking to appoint a HGV Driver to complement our transport and warehouse team.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure that products are handled and loaded carefully and correctly according to customer requirements.
Ensure loads are secure at all times by use of internal straps or additional strapping where required.
Delivering and collecting goods promptly and in a professional and courteous manner.
Adhering to special delivery instructions given with collections and deliveries.
Ensuring that all goods delivered are signed for by the customer and a copy of delivery documentation is submitted to the office personnel.
Maintain and enhance effective working relationships with customers and colleagues
Safe, efficient and responsible driving of Company vehicle in accordance with the law.

The appointment will be on a full-time permanent basis, Monday to Friday.

Essential Criteria

Full UK Driving licence
HGV Class C + E
Up to date CPC Card
Valid Digital Tachograph

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will have previous HGV Driving experience. A good geographical knowledge of Ireland and excellent customer service are also important. Good communication skills are required, as well as adherence to all Health and Safety related aspects of the role. You must also be willing to assist your warehousing colleagues as and when required.
