CAD Design Engineer

CAD Technician / Sheet Metal Designer Liverpool Area £35,000 - £42,000 DOE Early Finish Fridays White Label Recruitment are supporting a long-established engineering and manufacturing business currently experiencing strong growth and increased project demand across multiple industrial sectors. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly skilled fabrication and engineering team delivering bespoke sheet metal solutions into industries including Nuclear, Utilities, Pharmaceutical, Construction, Food, Medical and Industrial Manufacturing. The Opportunity: This role offers genuine variety and the chance to manage projects from concept through to manufacture. You will work closely with customers, production and the wider engineering team, becoming a key part of the manufacturing process. Key Responsibilities: * Produce 2D & 3D CAD drawings from customer requirements * Create drawing packs for production and works orders * Design sheet metal part profiles using CAD software * Support projects from order stage through to manufacture * Liaise directly with customers regarding approvals and technical queries * Provide shopfloor and manufacturing support when required * Support continuous improvement and manufacturing efficiency initiatives * Work collaboratively within a close-knit engineering team What They’re Looking For: * Previous experience within sheet metal or fabrication design * Strong CAD skills using SolidWorks, RADAN, Inventor or similar * Understanding of manufacturing, fabrication and production processes * Ability to manage multiple projects and work to deadlines * Strong communication skills with both customers and internal teams * Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail Why Join? * Stable, growing engineering business * Bespoke technical projects with real variety * Friendly and supportive team environment * Long-term progression opportunities * Early finish Fridays * Growing order book and exciting future pipeline Apply now or contact Steph at White Label Recruitment for a confidential discussion
