What You Will Be Doing As a Mechanical Fitter / Vehicle Bodybuilder / Assembly Technician you will be responsible for: Working independently using your own initiative to meet targets and quality standards Reading engineering drawings and working effectively from work orders as an experienced Mechanical Fitter Installing insulated panels onto commercial vehicle bodies Carrying out electrical terminations including lighting, switches and tail lifts Sealing joints, floors and roofs using silicone and gel coatings Cutting metals, woods and plastics using hand tools and bench equipment Using hand tools, bench saws and measurement equipment safely as a Vehicle Bodybuilder Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards across all work areas Working in line with all health and safety, quality and compliance procedures Pay and Benefits Up to £35,692 per year depending on experience OTE £39,261 Friday early finish at 14:30 28 days annual leave Day off for your birthday Auto enrolment pension Enhanced maternity and paternity pay Employee wellness and assistance programme including online GP access What You Will Need To be considered as a Mechanical Fitter, Vehicle Bodybuilder or Assembly Technician you will need: Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter, Vehicle Bodybuilder or Assembly Technician within a workshop or manufacturing environment Strong understanding of manufacturing processes Ability to work safely using tools and workshop equipment Positive attitude and pride in producing high quality work Reliable transport or ability to travel to the Trafford Park site Experience within vehicle bodybuilding or commercial vehicle assembly (desirable) Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (desirable) How to Apply A hands-on role like this in Trafford Park will not be available for long.
