Workshop Engineer (Engines) Sutton-in-Ashfield

Mon–Fri | 07:30–16:00 (30 min lunch)
23 days + bank holidays (incl. Christmas shutdown)
The Role Join a busy workshop team carrying out the repair, overhaul, and testing of engines, transmissions, and related components to OEM standards.
Key Responsibilities
Strip, inspect, repair, and rebuild engines, transmissions, axles & transfer cases
Test completed units to ensure reliability and performance
Identify parts requirements and support ordering process
Maintain high quality standards (right first time, on time)
Support apprentices and junior team members
Ensure HSE compliance and safe working practices
Assist with painting, packing, and dispatch where requiredWhat We’re Looking For
3+ years’ experience in a mechanical engineering environment
Strong experience with diesel engines & transmissions
Good diagnostic and fault-finding skills
Familiar with tooling and workshop equipment
Strong attention to detail and organisation
Full UK driving licenceWhy Apply?
