Equities Prime Brokerage Product Controller - Associate

Bring clarity and confidence to financial results that matter. In this role, you will help ensure daily profit and loss reporting and month-end close activities are accurate, well-controlled, and timely. You will work closely with trading and finance partners to investigate drivers, explain outcomes, and strengthen processes. Your analysis will support decision-making for desk leadership and senior finance stakeholders.As a Product Control Associate, you will support accurate daily profit and loss reporting, balance sheet integrity, and a well-controlled month-end close. You will partner with the business and finance stakeholders to analyze results, explain key drivers, and help implement strong controls. You will work with teams across the front and back office to identify, escalate, and resolve reporting and control issues. You will also contribute to projects and process improvements that improve transparency and reduce operational risk.Job responsibilities Prepare daily profit and loss reporting and related control checks.Support month-end close activities to ensure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness.Analyze profit and loss and balance sheet movements and explain key drivers to stakeholders.Deliver clear reporting and insights to desk heads, business managers, and senior finance management.Partner with the business to implement robust controls and support new business initiatives.Coordinate with front- and back-office teams to resolve control, valuation, and reporting issues.Investigate breaks and variances and document root causes and remediation actions.Maintain strong process discipline and ensure adherence to control standards and procedures.Provide analytical and project support to improve reporting quality and operating efficiency.Respond to ad hoc requests with accurate analysis and concise communication.Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills Relevant experience in Product Control, Financial Control, Accounting, or a closely related areaDemonstrated experience performing daily profit and loss reporting and month-end close processesBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related fieldStrong analytical skills with high attention to detail and a demonstrated control mindsetAbility to communicate complex financial topics clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholdersProven ability to build strong working relationships across functions and seniority levelsPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills Understanding of financial products and how they impact profit and loss and balance sheet reportingJ.P.
