Quality Manager

We’re looking for a Quality Manager to join a specialist manufacturing business in Glossop. This is a role suited to someone with quality management experience within a regulated manufacturing environment, as you will be leading an 8-person quality department, maintaining quality systems and managing audits, customer quality issues and continuous improvement. What’s on offer? * £45,000 - £50,000 per year * 4-day working week * 20 days holiday plus bank holidays * 3% pension scheme * Salary sacrifice scheme * Life assurance at 4x salary * Permanent, site-based position * No hybrid working What will you be doing as a Quality Manager? * Managing and developing an 8-person quality department, including inspectors, apprentices, NDT and quality documentation support * Maintaining and improving the Quality Management System in line with BS EN9100 and NADCAP requirements * Managing quality complaints, customer rejections and associated corrective actions * Overseeing quality documentation, records and customer requirements * Managing external, customer and supplier audits * Carrying out supplier audits when required * Monitoring quality performance and reporting findings to senior management * Maintaining customer approvals, supplier information and calibration systems * Leading the Quality Team, setting objectives and supporting training and development * Providing quality support to production and other departments when required * Supporting a small amount of Health & Safety activity alongside an external H&S consultant What will you need? * Previous experience managing quality within a manufacturing environment * Strong knowledge and experience of BS EN9100 * Experience working within aerospace, defence, oil & gas, automotive or another highly regulated manufacturing sector * Internal auditing experience * Experience maintaining and improving Quality Management Systems * Confidence managing external and supplier audits * Minimum HNC/HND-level qualification * Full driving licence and ability to travel occasionally Interested?
