Location: Barking & Dagenham, East London
Salary: £39,851 - £50,474 (M2-M6)
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Start Date: September 2026
Salary will be determined based on experience and position on the Main Pay Range. The maximum salary applies to candidates with substantial teaching experience.

This Year 6 Teacher role offers the opportunity to teach a motivated class during a crucial stage of their primary education, helping pupils prepare confidently for their transition to secondary school. The successful Year 6 Teacher will be part of a collaborative team committed to delivering high-quality teaching and excellent pupil outcomes.
The Role
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the KS2 curriculum.
• Prepare pupils for end-of-Key Stage assessments and secondary transition.
• Monitor progress and provide effective feedback to support achievement.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Work closely with colleagues, parents and school leaders to ensure every child reaches their potential.
Requirements
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching in Key Stage 2.
• Strong understanding of the Year 6 curriculum and assessment expectations.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Passion for raising attainment and supporting pupil success.
