Conflicts Analyst (Interim)

Our client, a leading city law firm, are seeking a Conflicts Analyst / Lawyer to join their busy practice.

Candidates will have previous compliance, conflicts and regulatory experience from a top-tier law firm or leading in-house organisation. 

The main focus of the role will be to analyse and make decisions on conflicts and other compliance issues for mandates already undertaken by the Firm, or to be undertaken by the Firm. 

The role also includes the following responsibilities:

  \tAssessing whether material changes to existing mandates create any conflict or other compliance issues for the firm.

\tAnalysing information contained in the Firm's conflict management systems.
\t

\t

\tLiaising with both partners and lawyers to establish whether a conflict of interest exists, or is likely to in future.
\t

\t

\tAssessing whether new mandates can be accepted in the context of current conflicts and other regulatory rules across the full range of practice areas within the firm.
\t

\t

\tDetermining any applicable conditions upon which mandates can be accepted or continued.
\t

\t

\tEstablishing information barriers and assisting to resolve risk issues that arise. xwzovoh

Dealing with ad hoc questions/queries from Partners and lawyers relating to conflicts of interest and other engagement risk issues.
