Interim Financial Transformation Lead (Adults Commissioning)
Location: Hybrid – 1-2 days per week on site
Contract : 3 months interim
Rate: £550-£650 per day PAYE (Inside IR35) – flexibility for exceptional candidates
### The Opportunity
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Interim Financial Transformation Lead to deliver a high-impact programme of financial recovery and transformation within Adult Social Care Commissioning.
This is a strategic leadership role focused on recovering significant outstanding income linked to commissioned services delivered on behalf of health partners, while implementing sustainable improvements to financial management, governance and commissioning processes.
We're looking for a transformation specialist with strong commissioning experience who can lead system-wide change, influence senior stakeholders and deliver lasting improvements. Technical finance support will be available, but you will be expected to independently shape the approach and drive delivery.
### Key Responsibilities
Lead the development of financial recovery strategies and commissioning financial management processes.
Design and implement sustainable systems, controls and operational processes.
Drive debt recovery activity in partnership with Integrated Care Boards and health partners.
Build strong relationships across commissioning, operational services and external partners.
Develop and deliver a clear improvement plan with measurable milestones.
Provide assurance to senior leadership and auditors on progress and outcomes.
Embed long-term improvements to prevent future financial issues.
### About You
You will have:
Significant experience leading commissioning transformation within local government or the wider public sector.
A proven track record of delivering large-scale financial improvement and service transformation programmes.
Experience working collaboratively with NHS organisations, Integrated Care Boards or health partners.
The ability to work independently, establish strategic direction and deliver results at pace.
Excellent stakeholder engagement, influencing and leadership skills.
