Business Development Manager – Corporate / Blue Chip Security & Technology Solutions – London – £60,000 - £70,000 + Bonus + Benefits
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Business Development Manager to join a well-established and growing technology-led security solutions business based in London. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven individual with proven experience developing new business within corporate and blue-chip markets.
This role will see you taking ownership of the full sales lifecycle, from initial engagement through to close, before onboarding and nurturing newly won accounts ahead of a smooth handover to the Client Success / Account Management team. You will be supported by an experienced internal function including marketing, system design, project management, technical specialists, and engineering teams to ensure solutions are credible, deliverable, and built for long-term success.

Role & Responsibilities
• Developing and delivering a sector-focused business development strategy to achieve revenue and margin targets
• Building and maintaining a high-quality sales pipeline through proactive outreach, meetings, and structured follow-up activity
• Engaging directly with end users and key decision-makers including consultants, vendors, and sector influencers
• Qualifying opportunities thoroughly, understanding budgets, timelines, stakeholders, procurement routes, and evaluation criteria
• Presenting opportunities through internal bid / no-bid governance processes with clear commercial recommendations
• Identifying and developing routes to market, including framework agreements and formal procurement pathways
• Leading opportunity shaping and proposal development, engaging internal specialists where required
• Managing opportunities through the full sales lifecycle while maintaining momentum and stakeholder engagement
• Maintaining accurate CRM records, pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting
• Delivering structured handovers to Client Success / Account Management to ensure retention and account growth
Skills & Experience Required
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a comparable Business Development role selling B2B technology-led solutions
• Demonstrable success building relationships and winning new business within Corporate / Blue Chip markets
• Strong understanding of security, IT, or technology solutions markets
• Experience managing longer sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and formal procurement processes
• Proven track record winning recurring revenue and service-led business, not solely project-based sales
• Strong commercial acumen and solution-selling capability
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
• Strong forecasting, planning, and CRM pipeline management discipline
• Full UK driving licence
• Full right to work in the UK
Desirable
• Degree or equivalent qualification
• Strong technical and commercial background
• Previous experience within the security and/or IT industry
What Success Looks Like
• Consistent proactive activity generating early-stage opportunities ahead of formal procurement
• A healthy pipeline of highly qualified opportunities
• Strong monthly performance against revenue and margin targets
• Forecast accuracy of 85%+ across rolling three-month projections
• Excellent CRM governance and reporting visibility
• Smooth onboarding and successful transition of won accounts into Client Success / Account Management
