Job Type: Freelance
Pay: £125 - £150 per day
Locations: Glasgow & Edinburgh (potential future opportunities across Scotland)
About the Role:
EveryStage Ltd is seeking an experienced Freelance Trainer to deliver our accredited Events Management & Marketing employability programmes. Following induction, you'll lead an engaging eight-day, in-person course covering event planning, marketing, and the delivery of a live event project. Training is delivered in person on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver dynamic, engaging, and interactive training sessions for young people (and potentially adults 50+).
- Guide participants through industry overviews, practical planning processes, risk management, professional communications, marketing, and customer service.
- Mentor participants to design, plan, and deliver a live event project.
- Prepare learners for work placements, site visits to major venues, and interviews with industry partners for paid employment opportunities.
Essential Requirements:
- A strong background and passion for the events industry to effectively convey the scope and realities of the sector.
- A proven track record of mentoring or managing live projects with young people.
- Multiple years of experience facilitating learning and managing group dynamics for young people.
- Proficiency in event planning documentation, including layouts, risk assessments, daily run sheets and budgets.
- Ability to facilitate sessions on digital marketing channels and professional communication.
Desirable:
- Full UK driving licence and own vehicle
- Own laptop
- Experience with social media and content creation platforms (such as Canva and CapCut)
- Excellent communication and team-building skills
Location: East Ayrshire, East Dunbartonshire, East Lothian, East Renfrewshire, Edinburgh City, Falkirk, Fife, Glasgow City, Inverclyde, Midlothian, Perth and Kinross, West Lothian
