C++ Software Engineer

C++ Software Engineer Bristol (onsite role) – 12 month duration – Pay rate £49.70 p/h PAYE basic (£56.92 p/h including holiday pay) or £65 p/h Umbrella We are looking for a C++ Software Engineer to work for our defence client based at their Bristol facility.

You will help to develop solutions for the next generation of Air Defence Systems; developing evolving products whilst maintaining our clients enviable reputation for safety, performance and dependability.

Responsibilities: This is a very hands-on role and requires the continued design and development of Command and Control architectures, and the instantiations for future products.

Perfect for a Software Engineer who is proactive and takes the initiative.

Skillset required: A strong background in software engineering, its realisation and system wide impact.

Proven ability of working in C++ on defence or safety critical systems.

Collaborative, open approach to application development and have the ability to work well in a team and maintain momentum during development.

Background in working across the entire software development process from engaging with requirement authorities to automated proving, supported with effective documentation.

Knowledge of new tools, techniques and approaches that might enable our client to evolve processes to improve efficiency and sustainability.

Ability with other languages such as Ada, QT desirable.

Knowledge of DDS and multi-threaded applications. xwzovoh

Knowledge of standards such as DefStan 00-55, DO-178C or IEC61508 and restricted coding standards such as MISRA C.

Additional Information: The successful candidate will need to be capable of gaining a UK MOD Security Clearance to SC level, the client will sponsor a new application if you are not currently cleared.
