Senior / Lead Mechanical Engineer Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineer who enjoys leading bespoke engineering projects from concept to delivery? Do you have a background in mechanical handling, special purpose machinery or industrial equipment? What's in it for you? ·£50,000 - £60,000 basic salary DOE ·25 days holiday plus bank holidays ·Company bonus ·4% employer pension contribution ·Private medical insurance ·Life insurance What will you be doing? ·Leading mechanical design and engineering projects from concept through to manufacture and installation ·Producing and reviewing engineering drawings and technical documentation ·Managing project timelines, budgets and technical deliverables ·Supporting customer meetings and technical discussions ·Coordinating with manufacturing, procurement and installation teams ·Mentoring and supporting junior engineers ·Driving continuous improvement across engineering standards and processes Where you'll be doing it You'll be joining a well-established engineering business specialising in bespoke mechanical handling and engineered systems projects across a range of industrial sectors. Due to continued growth, they are expanding their engineering team in Barnsley. What you'll need ·Strong mechanical engineering and project delivery experience ·Experience within mechanical handling, special purpose machinery, industrial equipment or heavy engineering environments ·Proficiency using 3D CAD packages such as SolidWorks, Inventor or similar ·Understanding of manufacturing processes, DFM and engineering best practice ·Experience leading projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams ·Strong communication and stakeholder management skills ·Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a similar discipline preferred We appreciate your CV may not be up to date.
