The post holder will be responsible for working within multi-disciplined Engineering teams to deliver innovative design solutions for new concepts & customisation of existing products for our customers across the globe, ensuring delivery to cost, time, quality & adherence to strict aerospace regulations and suitability for manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Liaising with 3rd party vendors in support of projects
- Supporting prototyping for new projects considering the implications of issues such as cost, safety and time constraints
- Creating relevant documentation, such as Test Plans and Reports for electrical testing of seats
- Supporting customer meetings as required
- Providing end to end support on an electrical basis throughout the lifecycle of projects
- Supporting the Engineering team to achieve key milestone dates and work with internal stakeholders to assist with production investigating, troubleshooting, and resolution of build and test issues
- Supporting change management through research, concepts, design reviews, trade studies, impact analysis and implementation

Requirements
- Hold a relevant Degree/Apprenticeship (or equivalent) in Electrical or Mechanical engineering or a minimum of 2 years working in an engineering environment
- Previous experience with one of the design software packages such as AutoCad, Pro E, Solidworks, Catia etc
- Proficient with MS Office (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Access)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interface with Customers, manufacturing, suppliers and production
- Results driven with a can-do attitude to ensure solutions
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers
- Experience of Electrical Design within a design and manufacturing environment
- Previous 3D Harness routing or Pipe routing experience
- Previous experience writing test plans/reports
