£33,988.50 per annum | Rochester, Kent | Permanent, full-time
Take pride in accurate fabrication and a quality finish? We’re looking for an experienced Aluminium Fabricator to join a manufacturing business in Rochester.
This is a hands-on workshop role where you’ll take ownership of jobs from technical drawing through to finished assembly. You’ll prepare materials, cut aluminium sections to precise dimensions and assemble components using mechanical fixings and fittings. If you enjoy working independently and seeing the finished result of your work, this could be a great fit.
You’ll be responsible for
Reading and interpreting CAD drawings, measurements and technical specifications.
Selecting, measuring and preparing aluminium sections for fabrication.
Operating cutting machinery and workshop tools safely and accurately.
Assembling components and checking dimensions, alignment and finish against drawings.
Carrying out visual quality checks and resolving issues before work moves to the next stage.
Working with the supervisor and wider team to clarify drawings and suggest practical improvements.
Completing equipment checks, carrying out basic maintenance and reporting faults.
Keeping materials organised and maintaining a safe, tidy working area.
You’ll bring substantial fabrication and assembly experience, confidence reading technical drawings and strong attention to detail. You’ll be comfortable organising your workload and producing accurate work independently, while communicating clearly with the wider team.
Experience working with aluminium is preferred. A background in window, door or frame fabrication would be particularly relevant. A counterbalance or Combi lift truck licence would be an advantage.
