Strategic Senior Procurement AnalystNorthamptonshire | Hybrid Working55,000 - 65,000 + Bonus + Excellent BenefitsTo apply, contact Adam at leading global manufacturing organisation is undergoing a significant evolution of its Procurement function, creating an excellent opportunity for a Strategic Senior Procurement Analyst to join its global team.With a new business strategy being launched alongside a redesigned Procurement operating model, the organisation is investing heavily in building a more strategic, globally integrated procurement function.This newly created role will sit at the heart of that transformation, working across a complex international manufacturing footprint and helping Procurement make better strategic decisions through market intelligence, sourcing strategy, value chain analysis and advanced commercial analytics.This is not a traditional Procurement Analyst position focused purely on reporting and spend data. You will work closely with senior category and procurement stakeholders to understand global supply markets, identify commercial opportunities and risks, and translate complex data into actionable sourcing strategies.Key Responsibilities* Conduct detailed market intelligence and value chain analysis across global direct materials and supplier markets* Analyse commodity, raw material, energy, freight, currency and wider macroeconomic trends to identify emerging commercial risks and opportunities* Support the development and execution of global sourcing strategies, using market insight and analytical modelling to determine the optimal approach* Analyse complex supplier markets, pricing structures, cost drivers and supply dynamics to strengthen procurement decision-making* Build and evaluate sourcing scenarios across different suppliers, regions, specifications and commercial models* Use e-sourcing and optimisation technology to assess supplier bids and identify the strongest commercial outcomes* Develop should-cost models, benchmarks and pricing analysis to challenge supplier proposals and support negotiations* Translate complex market and supplier data into clear recommendations for Category Managers and senior Procurement leadership* Support forecasting and financial planning by developing short, medium and long-term views of key raw material and market movements* Work cross-functionally with Procurement, Finance, Commercial, Technical, Quality and operational stakeholders across multiple international locations* Help drive greater consistency, governance and strategic decision-making across a historically decentralised global procurement environment* Initially focus on strategic direct materials, with the opportunity for the remit to broaden into additional global spend categories as the function developsRequired Experience* Approximately 4+ years' experience within strategic procurement, sourcing, procurement analytics, market intelligence, commercial analysis, category management or a related environment* Strong analytical capability with the ability to understand complex supply markets and value chains, rather than simply reporting on historical spend* Experience supporting or developing strategic sourcing initiatives within a complex organisation* Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify the key drivers behind supplier pricing, market movements and sourcing decisions* Confidence working with large and complex datasets and turning analysis into clear commercial recommendations* Experience within a global, multi-site or matrix organisation would be highly advantageous* Direct materials experience would be beneficial, particularly within manufacturing, industrial or technically specified categories, although chemicals experience is not essential* Exposure to e-sourcing, sourcing optimisation, scenario modelling, forecasting or should-cost analysis would be advantageous* Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate analytical findings to both Procurement and wider business stakeholdersWhy Apply?This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has built strong foundations in Procurement and now wants exposure to a more complex, global and strategically focused environment.You will join at an important point in the development of the Procurement function, with a new organisational structure, a new Procurement strategy and a wider business strategy creating significant scope for change and development.Rather than inheriting a narrow analytical remit, you will have the opportunity to influence how global sourcing decisions are made, develop deeper expertise in international supply markets and play a key role in the evolution of a major global Procurement function.For more information or to apply, please contact Adam at
