With a strong presence across major sectors including infrastructure, transportation, commercial, and industrial construction, they are currently delivering a significant package of works on the HS2 project in the West Midlands.About the RoleReporting to the Regional Health & Safety Manager, you will provide proactive health and safety support across the project, ensuring works are carried out safely and in line with company procedures, client requirements, and current legislation.The successful candidate will work closely with site management, engineers, and subcontractors to promote a positive safety culture and drive continuous improvement across the project.Key Responsibilities•Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and safety tours.•Ensure compliance with company procedures, client requirements, and UK health & safety legislation.•Support site teams with risk assessments, method statements, and safe systems of work.•Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.•Deliver toolbox talks, site briefings, and health & safety inductions.•Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure high safety standards are maintained.•Assist with the development and implementation of project HSEQ initiatives.•Produce reports and maintain accurate health & safety records.•Build strong relationships with operational teams to promote a positive behavioural safety culture.•Support external audits and client inspections as required.Requirements•Previous experience as a Health & Safety Advisor within civil engineering or major infrastructure projects.•Experience working for a Tier 1 or principal contractor is highly desirable.•Knowledge of earthworks, highways, rail, utilities, or large-scale infrastructure projects would be advantageous.•NEBOSH Construction Certificate or NEBOSH General Certificate (essential).•Membership of IOSH (TechIOSH, CertIOSH or working towards).•Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.•Full UK Driving Licence.What's on Offer•Competitive Salary (DOE)•Company car or car allowance.•Ongoing training and professional development.•Long-term career progression within a leading Tier 1 contractor.•Opportunity to work on one of the UK's flagship infrastructure projects.•Other company benefits
