Accredited Children Law Solicitor

A highly regarded and nationally recognised Family Law team is seeking a Children Law Accredited Solicitor with a minimum of 3 years' PQE to join its specialist Children Law practice.

This is an excellent opportunity to become part of an experienced and supportive team handling a broad range of complex public and private children law matters, including legally aided and privately funded cases. Key Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of public and private children law matters, including domestic abuse cases.
• Conduct advocacy on your own matters and provide advocacy support for colleagues where required.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legal developments relevant to children law.
• Ensure compliance with professional standards, Legal Aid Agency requirements, Lexcel standards, and internal procedures.
• Contribute to business development activities, including networking, attending events, writing articles, and maintaining a professional presence on social media.
• Deliver outstanding client care and practical, tailored legal advice.

Requirements

Essential

• Accredited under the Law Society Children Law Accreditation Scheme.
• Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience in Children Law.
• Strong advocacy experience, ideally across a range of court levels.
• Experience working within the Legal Aid Agency's CCMS system and contract requirements.
• Excellent communication and client management skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively and meet deadlines.
• Sound legal research and problem-solving abilities.
• A proactive and self-motivated approach.
• Ability to support and mentor junior team members.
• Good IT proficiency and adaptability to new systems and processes.

Desirable

• Marketing, networking, and business development experience.
