Your new role

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will take responsibility for leading the finance function and ensuring the delivery of high-quality financial reporting, controls, and commercial insight across the business. Key responsibilities will include:

• Leading the day-to-day operations of the finance department.
• Delivering accurate weekly and monthly management reporting.
• Providing financial analysis and performance insights to senior leadership.
• Maintaining and enhancing financial controls, processes, and accounting policies.
• Supporting business strategy through sound financial decision-making.
• Managing budgeting, forecasting, and business planning processes.
• Ensuring compliance with statutory, tax and regulatory requirements.
• Improving cashflow forecasting and working capital management.
• Acting as a key stakeholder in finance systems and process improvement projects.
• Leading, developing and motivating the finance team.

What You'll Need to Succeed

To be successful in this role, you will be:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
• Experienced in an industry-based finance role.
• Ideally, have experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Comfortable operating in a hands-on Financial Controller position
• Skilled in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and controls.
• Familiar with standard costing methodologies.
• A strong people leader with excellent communication skills.
• Commercially minded with the ability to influence stakeholders across the business.
