Your new role
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will take responsibility for leading the finance function and ensuring the delivery of high-quality financial reporting, controls, and commercial insight across the business. Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the day-to-day operations of the finance department.
- Delivering accurate weekly and monthly management reporting.
- Providing financial analysis and performance insights to senior leadership.
- Maintaining and enhancing financial controls, processes, and accounting policies.
- Supporting business strategy through sound financial decision-making.
- Managing budgeting, forecasting, and business planning processes.
- Ensuring compliance with statutory, tax and regulatory requirements.
- Improving cashflow forecasting and working capital management.
- Acting as a key stakeholder in finance systems and process improvement projects.
- Leading, developing and motivating the finance team.
What You'll Need to Succeed
To be successful in this role, you will be:
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
- Experienced in an industry-based finance role.
- Ideally, have experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Comfortable operating in a hands-on Financial Controller position
- Skilled in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and controls.
- Familiar with standard costing methodologies.
- A strong people leader with excellent communication skills.
- Commercially minded with the ability to influence stakeholders across the business.
