Team Leader / Manufacturing

Location: Bristol BS49, North Somerset Job Type: Full-time | Temporary to Permanent / Permanent Opportunities Pay: Competitive, dependent on role and experience Abatec Recruitment is currently recruiting for a motivated and experienced Team Leader to join our client’s busy manufacturing team based in North Somerset. We are looking for an experienced, hands-on individual from a manufacturing, engineering or machine-led production background, ideally with exposure to CNC machinery, extrusion, plastics, automated production, frame build, mouldings, saw or cutting equipment, tooling, mechanical fitting or precision assembly. Previous Team Leader or Supervisor experience would be highly advantageous, particularly for candidates who have allocated workloads, supported and trained team members, maintained production targets and driven quality standards. A strong understanding of technical drawings, machine fault finding, maintenance, hand and power tools, quality inspection and Health & Safety would also be beneficial. Key Experience We’re Looking For * CNC machine operation / machining * CNC setting or programming experience would be advantageous * Press brake / cutting machinery experience * Machine operation and automated production * Reading engineering and technical drawings * Precision measurement and quality inspection * Mechanical assembly and fitting * Tooling and engineering assembly * Hand and power tools * Fault finding and machine adjustments * Team Leader / Supervisor experience * Training and developing operators * Production targets and workload allocation * 5S / continuous improvement * Strong Health & Safety awareness We are looking for someone with a good eye for detail, strong engineering awareness, drive and a hands-on leadership approach, particularly if you have worked within CNC, machining, fabrication, extrusion, assembly or engineering manufacturing environments.
