Growth & Natural Capital (EGNC) Portfolio based in our Americas region, partners with mining companies
to design and implement positive impact programs—such as workforce skilling,
reforestation, and sustainable agriculture—that benefit mining communities and
regions. The team works across the entire mining life cycle, helping clients
achieve ESG targets while building the foundation for community resilience
beyond mine closure. The team draws on expertise from the wider EGNC portfolio,
which also works with private sector clients as well as philanthropic bodies
and diverse donors (IDB, USDA, AFD, WB) to support agricultural value chain
development, enhance women’s access to finance, and mobilize capital for
climate-positive initiatives. Overall, the business seeks to unlock and scale
innovative solutions that drive inclusive growth and deliver sustainable value
for communitiesPalladium is
seeking a Senior Manager, Sustainable Infrastructure - Oil & Gas to bring
team management experience and technical acumen to both business development
and project delivery. The role will focus on oil and gas sector clients across
the value chain, including upstream, midstream and downstream operations, as
well as associated infrastructure such as pipelines, LNG terminals, shipping
and logistics, storage, and refining assets. Competitive candidates should
demonstrate experience working with these types of assets on ESG strategy,
impact program design, and implementation, including workforce development,
local content, economic diversification, community investment, and integration
of ESG considerations into operational contexts. The Senior Manager will also
contribute to business development efforts, including strategic planning,
portfolio forecasting, proposal development, partnering, networking and
recruitment. Fluency in English and one other additional language – French
(preferred), Spanish, Arabic, or Portuguese is required.Location and Compensation:The position is be based out of Palladium’s London office. Applicants
must have current/future work authorization in the UK as visa sponsorship
cannot be provided.This role is also posted in the US; however, there is only one available position.Reporting Lines:This role reports to the Director, Sustainable Infrastructure (UK based)Primary
Roles and Responsibilities: Project Management Lead multidisciplinary project teams to deliver high-quality, client-focused results across complex assignmentsOversee proposal development, budgeting, project planning, implementation, and reporting to ensure timely and effective deliveryIdentify, engage, and manage partners and subcontractors to strengthen technical quality and delivery capacityManage partner and subcontractor performance to ensure contractually compliant delivery of agreed inputs, outputs, and outcomesServe as Project Director, providing quality assurance for deliverables and oversight of budgets, client relationships, and overall project performance Business Development Contribute to the identification, assessment, and
pursuit of new business opportunities with a focus on expanding
Palladium’s engagement with oil and gas companies and operators of
associated infrastructure (pipelines, LNG terminals, shipping/logistics, storage
and refining)Contribute to the preparation of technical
proposals principally targeting private sector and blended finance
opportunities with oil and gas clients (focus on ESG strategy, impact
program design and implementation, local content, economic diversification
and regional development initiatives linked to energy infrastructure) Technical Work Work with the team to develop short-term inputs
and/or consultancy assignments on topics such as economic development,
local content, workforce development, ESG strategy and inclusive business
models in oil and gas and related infrastructure contextsLead
technical input into the design, planning and delivery of ESG and impact
initiatives driven by oil and gas operators and infrastructure developers,
including pipelines, LNG terminals, shipping/logistics corridors and
refining operations that engage private sector, impact funders or
development organizations to co-invest in positive impactContribute
to research, analysis and publication of technical reports, case studies,
policy/program approaches, and results summaries on themes related to ESG
performance in the energy sector, community resilience, regional economic
development and transition in oil and gas dependent regionsHelp to identify, build, and maintain
relationships with partners and consultants that can provide technical
expertise to Palladium-managed projects Stay current on trends and tendencies in the oil
and gas sector and track structural, governance and ESG target changes for
key clients across upstream, midstream, downstream and infrastructure
segmentsWork
with others in the EGNC Portfolio to promote and build Palladium’s
technical capability, especially regarding work with mining
companies Essential
Criteria:7+ years of senior-level experience in a client-facing management role on large, private/public sector projects, especially relating to oil and gas and/or associated infrastructure (pipelines, LNG terminals, shipping, storage and refining) with exposure to ESG, economic development or impact programming5+ years working directly with oil and gas companies, operators or infrastructure developers as clientsFluency in English and at least another language, in either French (preferred), Spanish, Arabic, or PortugueseStrong networks in the oil and gas and broader energy infrastructure sectorPreference for experience managing teams across
geographies and cultures Proven experience in or on
emerging market issues and/or contextsExperience leading business development efforts and
ability to leverage their own network activating new client portfolios
